Norlond Combine 50 Time Trial - F1/50 - 16th May 2010
The F1/50 TT course is up and down the A1 for 50miles and is about as much fun as the picture below suggests but its pretty flat and quick when the wind is calm. When it's not you're in for a nasty day. I started at 6.26am which ain't the way the boys at the Tour do it. A 3.45am alarm is not right for any man. There's not much else to say... I passed some rickedy looking old dude on a trike which is about the most interesting thing that happened. Other than that it was 1hr 58mins of head down riding. Job done.

The fastest man of the day was 9 times BBAR champion, Ian Cammish who did a 1:49:49. This is 10 mins slower than his all time best which seems to prove it wasn't a very fast day. I reckon I have a 1.54 in me this year so I'll have to have another couple of shots at this distance. For the moment however I feel like I've been shot in the ass as my glutes are so sore so that proves it was a decent effort on the day. Lee Piercy came 4th in a very strong 1.53 on a tough day which is a clear reminder of the level of biking in Duathlon today.
