Powerman Germany - Falkenstein, May 22nd 2011 - 16k - 64k - 8k
What a bizarre performance. I felt like cr4p on my warm up. Heavy legs and a generally bad mood. If I could have gotten out the other side of bed I would have.
It was hot and humid and everyone times were slow. My first run was way slower than last year and I was totally out of the running. My first lap of the bike was poor but after 2 hours of racing I seemed to find something.I ran a quick second run ;the fastest split of the day at 26.52 for a hideously hilly 8k. I know I'm in good shape so finishing in 10th is pretty gutting. But running so fast off the bike is a great sign as the world champs has a 30k final run.
That's my spring season done. I haven't finalised exactly how many races I'll do in the build up to Zofingen but I'm looking forward to a good block of training in the next 6-8 weeks.
